The Emperor's Edge- Lindsay Buroker

This book was so amazing I nearly cried with frustration. Oh cruel author, why did you end it like that I will never know. Oh well I give this and 8.5 on the Nerdin Scale. Lindsay Buroke created a world that will wander in the back of your mind and randomly come out in conversations. Conversations where it does not belong. Conversations that if you say something like that it will look really weird. (I know this from personal experience.) This book was in short fantastic and a half.

So this legit little book is about a woman police officer in the 'steam era.' The officer, Aramanthe Lokdon, is truly dedicated to her job. Each and every aspect of it. Even though she is often considered much less than her male counter-parts. Often told she should have just choosen business or to stay at home, nothing stops Aramanthe from getting her way. Especially not some dumb robbers who decided to rob a store. When Armanthe stops these robbers with such great skill she just happens to earn the attention of the Emperor. Attention that puts her life in danger. Attention that gets her notice by the most notorious, blood-thirsty, cold-hearted, and infamous assassin around. But how is it she manages to not only not to not be killed by his cold stares, but also enlist his help?

Guess what my loyal little nerds...
This book is FREE on Amazon! But not for long because this book is clearly a winner.
Check it out!

Hush Hush Saga by Becca Fitzpatrick

http://www.fallenarchangel.com/
Sorry for not posting since forever ago but this new one should make up it.
Hush, Hush
Crescendo
Silence
and coming soon book four. All written by Becca Fitzpatrick all crazy good. I loaned two of these books to my librarian and got her hooked. Hush Hush is about Nora a high-school-er prone to anxiety attacks and Patch a guy who seems to be everywhere Nora is with his exquisite night black eyes that seem to suck you in and make you fall... hard. But I really can't give away much in case you decide this is your kind of book. But truth be told this book is like a movie. I went to sleep after reading one of these and woke up thinking what show was I watching? I can NOT wait for book 4 which by the way is coming out fall of 2012.
This book gets the Best Book of My Year Award.

KARSTEN KNIGHT: Wildefire by Karsten Knight

KARSTEN KNIGHT: Wildefire by Karsten Knight
So, this book is major. Not just major but majorly epic in ways that you though it was impossible to be.
Ash is a goddess, but of what she doesn't know she does know that all of her new-found friends are also gods and goddesses as well only difference is they know what their powers are. Not only that but her sister is a psychopathic weather goddess (how unfair is that?) and has come back into Ash's life to jack it up a lot.

DROUGHT - Author

DROUGHT - Pam Bachorz
so these people live on a plantation and collect water. They treated horribly, like slaves, and they won't do anything about it they just take what's dished out. As you can imagine the younger people don't like that too much, and they want to fight back. But the adults restrain them somehow. Then when a new, hot, young overseer comes along everything turns upside down the main character or the "One" and him soon fall in love and escape together.

I don't understand why there still hasn't been some type of sequel, cause anyone who has read this book most likely dream of the day when they can read the next one.
N9. It got the Obsessive Stalker Award, you know when you love a book so much you look for anything that might be related. Yep, that's an obsessive stalker.

Myra McEntire

Myra McEntire: Hourglass
After Emerson Cole's parents died in a brutal car crash, everyone though Emerson was crazy. Of course the whole "I see dead people" thing didn't help with that but still. Things only get worse when Emerson returns from boarding school. Her brother is trying to find someone to help her with all of the ghost that appear to her. Soon she does get some help, with her powers, and her mentor what kind of help does he need? And why does it seem to relate back to her?

Well that's enough stupid cliffhanger questions. But really this book was good and soooooo not what I expected. N6.
