Oh cruel author, why did you end it like that I will never know. Oh well I give this and 8.5 on the Nerdin Scale. Lindsay Buroke created a world that will wander in the back of your mind and randomly come out in conversations. Conversations where it does not belong. Conversations that if you say something like that it will look really weird. (I know this from personal experience.) This book was in short fantastic and a half.

So this legit little book is about a woman police officer in the 'steam era.' The officer, Aramanthe Lokdon, is truly dedicated to her job. Each and every aspect of it. Even though she is often considered much less than her male counter-parts. Often told she should have just choosen business or to stay at home, nothing stops Aramanthe from getting her way. Especially not some dumb robbers who decided to rob a store. When Armanthe stops these robbers with such great skill she just happens to earn the attention of the Emperor. Attention that puts her life in danger. Attention that gets her notice by the most notorious, blood-thirsty, cold-hearted, and infamous assassin around. But how is it she manages to not only not to not be killed by his cold stares, but also enlist his help?
Sorry for not posting since forever ago but this new one should make up it.
Hush, Hush
Crescendo
Silence
and coming soon book four. All written by Becca Fitzpatrick all crazy good. I loaned two of these books to my librarian and got her hooked. Hush Hush is about Nora a high-school-er prone to anxiety attacks and Patch a guy who seems to be everywhere Nora is with his exquisite night black eyes that seem to suck you in and make you fall... hard. But I really can't give away much in case you decide this is your kind of book. But truth be told this book is like a movie. I went to sleep after reading one of these and woke up thinking what show was I watching? I can NOT wait for book 4 which by the way is coming out fall of 2012.
She can see right to the actual appearance. So, imagine her surprise when she finds that the organization she works thinks that she's not even human herself. And her she though she was just a human with awesome vision. Now as people she thought she knew redefine themselves and their goals she finds herself falling into a trap that's larger than life. Surprisingly she hides in The Lawson Peabody School for Young Girls and as she begins her sencond semester there she encounters more trouble. Mississppi Jack by #5
Finally off the dreaded ship BLOODHOUND Jacky and her classmates have finally returned home to Boston. It's unfortunate that Jacky never gets to set foot on land, before she is hauled off to Britian to face trial. That is untill her gallant Lieutentate Jaimy Fletcher jumps on board to save her... and utterly failing in the process. But, she does escape-- eventually and when she does it's the America Wilderness for her. Where she'll encounter old friends, old enmies, the buggest baggart in the world, the best con-artists, slavehunters, gators, British soldiers, tornadoes, Native Americans and new flings. Ones that don't really turn out too well in the end. She'll learn that the American frontier is nothing to be triffled with.
My Bonnylight Horseman by #6
The British have finally caught notorious "pyrate" Jacky M. Faber and are taking her back to London. Or at least they were before the French overtook the ship. They eventually find her out because of one jerkbag and try to cut off her head.
Later she is forced to spy on the French for the British. Reporting back to her "seniors" like a real secret agent.

Rapture of the Deep #7
Jacky M. Faber soon to be Jacky M. Fletcher, has been kiddnapped, again. This time by the British government and on her wedding day. Now, they want her to dive to the bottom of the sea and use her swimming proress to bring up treasure from the bottom of the sea. Not only that but she will also encounter some very vicious sea monster.

The Wake of the Lorelei Lee #8

Pretty sure that her so called "debt" to the king is paid, Jacky goes back to London. Only to get arrested (AGAIN!) and ship off to Australia with the rest of Britain's convicts. Only her ship is speacil she gets to ship 250 or so women convicts to Australia. You can imagine how that's going to turn out.
The Mark of the Golden Dragon#8
I won't even try to fake it... I have not read this. Mostly because I am content where it stopped in the lst book. But I encourage you guys to keep reading the series.
This was pretty good the first time i read it. Though I kind of skimmed through a lot of the book. So you can imagine when I read it over these past few weeks, I was completely shocked at the vividness provived in these pages. It was great to reread it. It was kind of like meeting an old friend you though you never seen again. Ok so it got a N7 and an award called ......
When a girl leaves her school for a fresh new life with pioneers and indians, she doesn't know what she'll get. Least of all she doesn't expect to meet her soulmate, get attacked by a ghost, and blackmailed by a student. Something sinester is harming and killing her students and it seems to want to get her next.
At first, I though I wouldn't like this book so much as I do almost everything else I read. I figured that another book about ghosts and hauntings probably wouldn't be that good. But what made me stop and actually read the book was it's location in time. It was one of the few books I'd actually buy, and reread over and over again.
Crazy is one way to describe two of the characters in this book. One is love crazy and the other is just full out insane crazy.

Sarah trouble bad girl forced to go to an all girls college. There she meets her two "best friends". But when they start behaving strangely, jealously even can she put together whats happening before it's too late or will she fall into thier web of lies deceit jealous and anger? Will she her love for her boyfriend first or the will of someone she barely knows?

Well, I've got to tell you it get pretty weird in this book. But all in all the story was beautifully crafted and magically written. I loved it, it was raw and juicy and I wouldn't put it down untill it was completely finished. I can't wait untill Katherine comes out with another book.
